PAT Testing
This refers to all electrical equipment connected to the fixed wiring of an installation as well as portable appliances and although called PAT Testing its official title is Inspection and Testing of In-service Electrical Equipment. There are four main sets of legislation that may apply ;
- The Health and Safety at Work Act
- The Management of the Health and Safety at Work Act Regulations
- The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER)
- The Electricity at Work Regulations (EAWR)
