PAT Testing
This refers to all electrical equipment connected to the fixed wiring of an installation as well as portable appliances and although called PAT Testing its official title is Inspection and Testing of In-service Electrical Equipment. There are four main sets of legislation that may apply ;
- The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 (H&SWA)
- The Management of the Health and Safety at Work Act Regulations 1999
- The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER)
- The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 (EAWR)
